Julie Beren Platt has devoted her life to working on behalf of the Jewish community. As a fundraiser, she serves as the general campaign chair for the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and is a past chair of the Women's Campaign. She presently serves on the board of directors and the executive committee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.
Julie's greatest passion is fostering a strong sense of Jewish identity among youth and young adults. In this endeavor, she served for the past four years as the chair of the Los Angeles Federation's Ensuring the Jewish Future Strategic Initiative.
She is a member and past chair of the Sinai Akiba Academy Day School Committee, member and past chair of the executive committee for Camp Ramah in California, member and past chair of the advisory board for the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, co-chair of the national board of governors for the University of Pennsylvania Hillel, and serves on the board of directors of the Foundation for Jewish Camp and the board of overseers for the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Advanced Judaic Studies.
Julie is a member of the board of trustees and executive committee of her alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, and serves as president of Global Alumni. Previously in her career, she was vice president of commercial lending at Bankers Trust Company in New York City.
