Sarah Silverberg

Student, Activist and Former Hillel President at McMaster University

Sarah Silverberg is a first-year medical student at the University of Toronto. She graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario from the Honours Arts & Science program in 2014.

Sarah grew up in the Toronto Jewish community, and at McMaster became deeply involved in Hillel. She served on the board during her four years at McMaster and as president for the last two. During that time, a BDS motion was brought to McMaster’s student government general assembly but did not ultimately become binding policy. She received the Shem Tov award from the Hamilton Jewish Federation for her work against BDS.
