Lisa Karasic joined the Jewish Federation of Monmouth County as Director of Marketing & Communications in 2012.
Raised in an involved Jewish family, Lisa first became active as a Federation lay person in the 1990s, co-founding Monmouth’s Young Women’s Division and receiving the Young Leadership Award. She has instilled the value of tikkun olam in her teenage daughters, Katie and Clara Eskwitt, who have become social action leaders in their own right within the Jewish community.
A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Lisa has worked professionally for Fortune 500 companies and start-ups, focusing on strategic and creative direction, corporate integration, relationship marketing and brand rehabilitation. She has worked in industries as diverse as finance, pharma, high-tech, wellness, travel and retail. The common thread, she says, is storytelling. “Every organization has a story to tell, a critical reason for telling it, and stakeholders who will benefit from embracing it. When stakeholders fall in love with the story and become invested in seeing how it turns out, that’s when marketing can make missions come true.”
