Marci has worked in the St. Louis Jewish community for over 30 years. Prior to being director of the Millstone Institute, Marci was manager of the Jewish Federation’s Professional Excellence Project. In her present role she continues as the staff for JProStl, the local Jewish professional association.
Marci previously worked at JCRC as Coordinator of the Bohm Social Justice Initiative. She spent the majority of her career at the JCC where she focused on community building through family programs and committee development and helped develop many programs including Shalom Baby, Tour de Fun, Our Jewish Home and the Children’s Activity Centers. She also coordinated the JCC 120th Anniversary Celebration and the opening festivities for the JCC Marilyn Fox Building in Chesterfield.
A native of Philadelphia, Marci has a BS in human development from Penn State and a MSW from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Marci frequently speaks on the subject of social group work and promoting successful nonprofit boards and committees. She completed a certificate in leadership and non-profit management from the University of Missouri St. Louis and is a graduate of both the CORO Women in Leadership Program and FOCUS St. Louis’ Leadership St. Louis. Marci is a recipient of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis Fred A. Goldstein Professional Excellence Award and the National JCC Association Yakir Professional Award.
