Dahlia Bendavid is the director of the Israel and Overseas department at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Working with distinguished community leaders of the Federation, she directs the Israel and Overseas Committee, a standing committee that is committed to engaged global justice through philanthropy. In this role, Dahlia develops and oversees all aspects of Miami's international partnerships including the allocation of approximately $8 million dollars to overseas recipients.
Over the past decade, Dahlia's prominent leadership at the Federation has been experienced and showcased in a variety of areas. As a professional in the human resource development department, she helped develop and implement numerous leadership development programs such as OLAM - the Organization for Leadership Advancement in Miami. This premier program and her work in leadership development at the Federation enabled volunteers and the Federation staff to gain the necessary skills to be successful in their various roles.
Dahlia has extensive work experience in nonprofit management. She worked at UNICEF in the private sector fundraising department, and as a development officer at AVSC International, a women's health nonprofit organization. Dahlia has a deep love for Israel, having lived in Modi'in, Israel where she worked at the research authority at Bar Ilan University.
Dahlia helped create the Jewish Professional Resource Organization (JPRO), a local professional association for Jewish communal professionals, and currently serves on its executive committee. She holds a master's degree in industrial labor relations/human resource management from Cornell University/Baruch College, CUNY. She resides in Aventura, FL and is extremely proud of her two teenage sons, Ariel and Noam.
