Eli Skora has served as executive director of the Jewish Federation of Greater St. Paul for the past 14 years. Prior to that, he was the executive director of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans. Eli has more than 30 years’ experience leading Jewish organizations. He holds a master’s degree in social work and taught in Florida before joining the Federation system.
Eli’s commitment to a strong Jewish community comes from his personal experience of being helped by the Hebrew Immigration Aid Society (HIAS) when he emigrated from Cuba, where he was born, to the United States at age 10. Eli is married to Miriam, has three sons, Daniel, Josh (Laura) and Seth, and a grandson, Julian.
