Steve Greenbaum has been involved in the Jewish community his entire life. His first post-college job was with JFNA’s Washington office. A past president of a pro-Israel political action committee, Steve is very involved in pro-Israel advocacy. As a member of JFNA’s National Young Leadership Cabinet (NYLC), he chaired JFNA’s Young Leadership Mission to Israel, the Washington 15 Conference and NYLC’s annual Men’s Campaign. In 2007, Steve and his father, Neil, received Lifetime Community Service Awards from an organization dedicated to helping Jewish victims of domestic violence in Chicago.
Professionally, Steve focuses on preserving affordable senior housing and is currently president of his own company, Senior Housing Group. In this business, hehas worked non-profit organizations of many faiths, including several Jewish Federations and affiliated agencies. Through this work, he has helped generate millions of dollars for Jewish communities around the country while also preserving and improving affordable housing for seniors in need.
Steve has a degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Georgetown University. He resides in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife, Sheri, who he met through NYLC, and their children, Jordyn and Jacob.
