Nissim Pingle

Senior Manager, Programs and Outreach, Evelyn Peters JCC, JDC-Mumbai

Nissim Pingle is the senior manager of the Evelyn Peters Jewish Community Center of Mumbai, India. He is responsible for oversight and growth of the JCC, with a strategic aim to build Jewish community and increase Jewish learning. Nissim oversees the JCC's regular programming: classes, workshops, and holiday celebrations, as well as community-wide events for children, youth, adults and seniors.

Nissim grew up in the Mumbai Jewish community, a volunteer and peer leader as a teenager. He was selected to attend the Szarvas Camp in Hungary sponsored by JDC.  Later in his career, Nissim maintained his connection to events held by JDC, volunteering whenever he had the chance. He still volunteers in Indian Jewish Security, a group that protects synagogues during prayer services.

Nissim lives in Navi Mumbai with his wife, parents and two sons. He holds a degree in physics from Mumbai University.
