Dr. Breier has been involved in the Las Vegas community for many years. She recently completed two and a half years as chairwoman for the Jewish Federation’s Young Leadership Division, in addition she is an active board member for Opportunity Village, an internationally recognized organization that serves the handicapped and mentally disabled. Dr. Breier is also a founding member of OV Nation, the young professionals division of Opportunity Village and serves as secretary/treasurer for the Nevada Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
Dr. Breier was appointed national spokesperson for University of Phoenix Common Core State Standards and National Teacher Appreciation, speaking to survey results from teachers and parents. In addition, she received recognition from the Silver State Law Enforcement Academy for her work in community collaboration. Dr. Breier has presented at national conferences on literacy education and has been the recipient of numerous literacy education grants.
Dr. Breier received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of South Florida in 2001. While working with underprivileged children in the Broward County School District, Dr. Breier completed her master’s degree in literacy education and her doctorate in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Breier is an educator, having had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten through seventh grade students. The past few years, she has worked in higher education as college chair, College of Education at the University of Phoenix Las Vegas campus. Recently, Dr. Breier was appointed principal of a top performing charter school in the state of Nevada.
