Danny Labin is Associate Vice President of Global Programs at the Jewish Federations of North America. Based in JFNA’s Jerusalem office, Danny oversees the planning and implementation of JFNA initiatives in Israel, including the Negev Funding Coalition, Social Venture Fund, and Emergency Campaigns. Working closely with Federation professionals in Israel, as well as with the Jewish Agency for Israel, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and a wide range of local NGOs, Danny leverages federation resources across areas of critical concern both to the North American Jewish community and to the people of Israel. Before joining JFNA in 2013, Danny spent thirteen years in the field of educational media. For more than a decade, Danny developed the educational curricula and global business strategy for Sesame Street’s international coproductions, including “Rechov Sumsum” in Israel and “Shalom Sesame,” a multi-media educational project for North American Jewish families. Originally from Los Angeles, Danny made aliya after earning his master’s degree in education from Harvard University.
